Life Lately Linkup V.2

Loved this idea I spotted at The Camp last week! It would be so cool to recreate this in the backyard or on the side of your house! Maybe something other then a peace sign though!

I tried out Sydney's hair tutorial and loved the result. Although, I don't know how hers lasts for 3 days! My hair doesn't hold curl very well (especially in the damp beach air) and I sleep like a crazy person, so this is a one day only style for me! 

Spent some time just hanging out in the sunshine at The Lab earlier this week.  The Lab & The Camp are two very cool shopping centers in Costa Mesa, right across the street from each other. Some of my favorite restaurants are in both places!

Channeling the warm weather that never fully came to my foggy city! Tangerine, gold baubles, silver nails and purple toes!

Took a drive down PCH with the boy in his fun car and walked the cove and spotted dolphins swimming along! I wanted to go to an open house at one of the multi million dollar homes right on the bluff, but Geoff wasn't having that! 

A little mid week pick me up cupcake from Susie Cakes. Honestly, it was better looking then it tasted! I will stick with their Red Velvet... so good!

BFF hangout in downtown Huntington Beach. I love when we have free days during the week because we can just about go anywhere and do anything and it is so much better then attempting certain places on the weekend.

This weekend I am headed up the central coast for a wedding. Since I spotted this gorgeous minty green dress on Modcloth I have been dreaming about how I would style it. I am smitten with the little subtle glam ensemble I created here. Too bad I don't own all these pieces so I could really wear this look!

     When I bought this shirt I instantly thought of this blazer. I haven't worn it in months but when I saw the polka dots I thought to myself, What Would Blair Eadie Wear? And an outfit was born! I am absolutely smitten with the similar colors and various patterns with the little pop of the yellow bag. I felt really out there and loud when I was wearing it but when I look at these photos, I think it is all very complimentary. And I am just going to let everyone know these booties are incredibly comfortable, newly purchased, and were super cheap. I can't wait to wear them all summer with little dresses and cardigans. This might be one of my favorite outfits yet!

     I have been dying to wear this skirt since holiday time. For some reason, I kept thinking I needed a fancy place to wear it. But it was so hot the other day, and I am currently obsessed with my denim jacket, so I decided to play it down in a big way. I threw on an old Gap t-shirt and I was sold! I love the look. I am going to try to start incorporating my "fancy" pieces with my basics, they need to see more then just the inside of my closet!

     We went and tried out our newly opened Umami Burger on this evening. I have to say, I was disappointed! I loved Umami Burger in LA the time we went, so much that I have been claiming it is the best burger ever, but ours didnt seem to have the same perfection. It was pretty greasy and thrown together, with that being said the OC location just opened, and they seemed a little "off" in the kitchen so I will give them a few months to work the kinks out and go back! Have you tried Umami Burger? Where is your favorite burger joint?

     Today is going to be my first Life Lately Linkup! I am excited and I hope you guys enjoy this as a way to get to know what's going on in the lives of some of your favorite bloggers! With summer around the corner I feel a tad bit more inspired (and the fact that boyfriend and I ate an entire plate of homemade Peanut Butter Cookies) to get out and exercise. Morning jogs around the block with the puppy are a perfect way to get the day started!
