Did you notice something a little different over here lately?
Well, The Weekend File has had a blog redesign!
If you read my blog using a reader or feed click here to see the new look!
While I loved my old design, I kept noticing that everything was taking such a long time to load and the whole thing was starting to look really busy and messy, and I personally needed a change. As I described in a previous post, Blogging Blues, I was feeling a little down and uninspired in blogging and I knew that a change was necessary.
I worked with Moe from Five Sixteenths Blog, who by the way is so great and easy to work with, on a new design that was clean and simple. I actually asked for something so simplistic, we had to find some ways to add some elements of the old blog design in, and to give it just a subtle punch of color. After some trial and error, and Moe tirelessly giving me option after option (honestly, so amazing!) I personally love how everything is now streamlined and flows so well, and all of the unnecessary is gone.
If you are looking for a new look, some new blog buttons or a fun header, I highly suggest you contact Moe! You can see more of her designs here and get info on what she can do and pricing here! She responded to every little question and mind change I had, always taking my ideas and helping the design evolve instead of looking like a hot mess. Thank goodness for her!
So hopefully this is a re-invention of The Weekend File, I am going to focus on content and posting about what I want, when I want, and when and if the mood strikes! And more importantly, what do you think about the new design? Love it? Hate it? Think its missing something? Have a favorite part?Let me know your feedback in the comments below!
