This past weekend was one that was going to be so jam packed full of fun stuff that we had every hour planned out perfectly. Then on Saturday I woke up with a tickle in my throat. By the evening I was full blown sick. I had to miss my bestest friends birthday festivities and send Geoff to assemble our entire kitchen cabinet system by himself (180 boxes!). I hate letting people down and not doing what I am supposed to do, I even feel bad and cry calling sick into work!! I have never, ever been one to call in "sick", I have too much of a guilty conscious knowing people are struggling without me.
Thankfully Sunday mornings are pretty empty at urgent care so I was left with a nice selection of medicine and time to sleep. It has been rainy and dreary a lot lately and that hasn't helped!
We were lucky enough to venture out one sunny day this past week to take these photos. I had totally forgotten about this summery dress in my closet but wore it with the jacket and leggings and it instantly became fall appropriate!
I love those F21 boots!! Great find!!
ReplyDeleteI'm exactly the same way. Everytime I have something that comes up - whether it's a sickness or rescheduling of sorts - I hate letting people down. But I'm glad you're feeling better!
ReplyDeletethere is just nothing better then a great dress with a jean jacket, I would wear it everyday!! you look great!

Love how you made the summer dress more appropriate for fall!! Such a great classic look!
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better toots! And I think the "not calling in sick" thing is a Starbucks thing. There were always a select few (myself included) who worked even if they were feverish and puking. We basically were the ones everyone called to cover shifts. No bueno. Don't let them take advantage of you! haha
ReplyDeleteps. Microwave? Genius! Reminds me of how Carrie Bradshaw puts clothes in her oven as storage. haha
Love your floral dress! Leggings is such a great item to have in the Fall, you can transition any summer dress. :)
