     These cobalt blue skinny jeans were my first foray into the world of colored denim. I must have had some secret apprehension to wear them out because I have been hoarding these in my closet for weeks now, reaching to put them on multiple times then quickly grabbing a regular old pair of jeans instead. My fear kinda confuses me because these pants are blue and jeans are blue... so they aren't that crazy or far off from the norm. 

     But it was an 80 degree day and I knew we were going to be enjoying the day in Laguna so I finally decided to wear them and you know what? I felt so fancy in my colorful pants! I felt like I was living on the wild side! I love them! I have even bought polka dot and leopard print pants since. Crazy right? I know. Style blogging is making me wild! 

     I even declared my fear of printed pants and big butts on Twitter but I am now realizing that I was wrong!! I still have a large derriere but I have learned that when paired with something basic or textural (like this lightly colored knit) it kinda deflects from all of the focus being on the bottom. It is like a whole new colorful world out there now, I feel like I am a walking Target commercial!
