Everyday Luck

Lace Hem Pullover- Anthropologie
Spice Market Scarf- Anthropologie
Pilcro Slim Ankle in Black- Anthropologie
Petty Boots in Tan- San Edelman

I am going to admit something here... I have what one would call a shopping problem. The boyfriend has seemed to know this a lot longer then I have... Im not like in debt maxing out credit cards or anything, but if I see something I want and if it is in a price range I am comfortable... with I get it. The problem isn't me taking home $200 jeans or anything, its taking home 5 or 10 pairs of $40 jeans and then my closet being filled to the brim with things with tags still on, or never worn, or things I look at and wonder why I even purchased it.

So I am going to take this month, the SHORTEST month of the year mind you, and try to not bring home any new clothing. Already this is hard because of the environment I am in everyday. And because of other bloggers looking so darn cute, and Pinterest... oh Pinterest gets me every time! So I figure if I let all of you in on my little test maybe you can hold me accountable and maybe even some of you might want to challenge yourself as well!

So instead of online shopping and pinning I am going to work on cleaning out my closet, selling things I no longer need, selling some pieces to Crossroads Trading, and hopefully donating the rest of it to local charities.

Wish me luck!
And Happy February!

  1. I am doing a no shopping challenge this month also! I specifically did it because it's the shortest month!

  4. I am starting a 3 month shopping diet starting today. It's on my list of 25 things to do while 25, so knocking it out now while it is mid-season. Also planning to purge the closet in the process. Hopefully we will both go into the Spring season refreshed and only purchasing the necessities.

    1. OKAY! If I get tempted I am going to come for you... haha! I think it is about making looks or trying to trends with things that might ALREADY be in your closet... I have added liked 2 army green jackets to my wardrobe and realized, I already had one! WHHOOPS!

  10. Good luck! I did a shopping diet in the fall. I didn't let myself buy anything until I wore everything in my closet at least once or donated it. It worked for the fall since I could transition from warm weather clothes to cold weather. It made me think about the items I love to wear and those I don't. Made more choosy in my shopping later and more creative as I got to the a few items.

    1. Awesome! I have ALWAYS thought about doing that too. I wear the same things over and over and some I never touch! I am for sure going to try to bring those items out this month!
