Bull Riding

The other evening we were invited to go to the Professional Bull Riding in Anaheim, and without hesitation we said "YES!". I thought it would be great fun to dress up and that would be that, but it was soo much more fun then I had imagined!
I wore my blue gingham shirt, tucked it into a pair of jeans and strapped on some boots and a belt. If I would have had a big belt buckle, it would have been on!
We ended up going with 2 friends, and we were in the front row! Totally cool and totally scary, because the bulls can go running away (like in that little photo) and all that is keeping them and their spit away from you and your face was just a little bar! I was a tad nervous, especially since the boys behind us kept taunting the wild bulls!

I never knew there was such fun music, drinks, cowboys and cheering and intense bull riding and then in the middle of it some extreme jousting! We had the best time just being loud and dancing in our seats and cheering everyone on!
Geoff had so much fun he was totally in his element (have I mentioned he is from Texas?) and loving drinking some beers and getting to do something completely "guy friendly" for the night! Plus he had not one, not two, but three lovely lady dates!

  1. love the outfit and sounds like a fun event, when we were in Costa Rica we went to a bull riding event ... I can feel you with the scariness ... the locals actually went inside the bull riding ring ... it was crazy!!

  2. @Jessica I just wish they rode for longer the 8 seconds... that kinda was quick but it was still fun!

  3. How fun! I didn't know that they had bull riding at the Honda Center. What a fun event.

  4. That sounds like so much fun, very exciting!

  5. Ok I have always wanted to watch bull riding...I know - kinda strange but totally something I want to see. You look adorable, loving your blog :)

  6. @lynzy Thank you! It was really random but so much fun-- if you ever have a chance, go!!

  7. My husband and I both grew up in Florida, and while Southern culture is alive and well in certain parts, bull riding is not all that popular. I grew up watching it however, and found out that he did too soon after we met. Kinda sealed the deal, you know? ;-) Haha, glad you had fun!

  8. Ahh bull riding. I've been to several rodeos. Prefer horse shows though. Adorable outfit!

  9. I love the name plate. I got one for Christmas and have gotten so many complements on mine too.

  10. Yikes! I think I would have definitely been freaked out being so close to such a huge bull!
I like your shirt and boots though. I'm looking for some nice brown boots at the moment too. :)

Thanks for taking time out to leave a comment! I love and read every single one! XO! -Hayley
