This dress was one of those divine shopping moments. I spotted this dress on someone, somewhere (I can't even remember now) and was like "Oooooh! Want!" but then decided it was probably crazy expensive and to forget it. Well, fast forward to a day that I had some time to kill so I started wandering Forever 21 (don't we all do that?). Then in the very back of the store, on one of the highest racks, hidden under a purple coat was this fabric. I couldn't believe my eyes... it was the dress!! I quickly snatched my size, ran off to the fitting room and did a little dance. I mean, combine chevron stripes and an ikat pattern and I am sold!
So I wore this earlier in the month to our Valentines Day dinner at Maggiano's. I kept everything simple and let the dress stand out, but I cannot wait to style it for the summer with some cute wedges and maybe a bright colored belt! This was my first time ever wearing a high/low skirt and I couldn't believe how windy it was that evening, and the fact that it was sprinkling on us the whole time we took these photos! But the silhouette these skirts create are so gorgeous (when not bunching up thanks to mother nature) I am officially hooked!
In other news, it is March (warm weather is coming, folks!) and I have some incredible new Sponsors. If you have a moment, check them out!
