Little Random Facts

I have seen an influx of new faces and visitors around here lately (hello and welcome!), so I wanted to kinda share some little facts and tidbits about me here on this space to help you get to know me a bit better. Maybe we have some things in common we never knew about!

- I used to be a swimmer. Swimming was just about the only spot I ever really liked. 100 Fly was my jam!

- I like, no LOVE, to gamble. I think I get that from my dad who can be found in a casino at least once a week. I would like to think I am sort of lucky... not all of the time.

- I did a semester abroad in Oxford and had the time of my life. I really miss being able to travel and explore.

- I didnt get the good genes of the family. I had braces, I wear contacts, I have allergies... sexy!

- I am a picky eater, but I also love, love to eat and try new food and restaurants.

- Before this blog, I used to be terrified to wear anything to loud, to printed or to sexy for fear I would stick out in a crowed. Blogging has helped me come out of my shell ten fold.

- As a child my favorite movies were Beaches, Heathers, Top Gun and When Harry Met Sally. Can you tell I am an 80s child?

- I hate roller coasters. I am not scared of them, but I HATE that dropping in the pit of your stomach feeling.

- I am a homebody. I will take watching tv and cuddles with my dog over going out to a club or bar any day.

- I really want to visit the East Coast... like those white sand beaches with little cottages and reeds blowing in the wind type of East Coast.

- I only drink white wine, but I really want to like red wine.

- I would love to take some sort of cooking class that could teach me all the tips and tricks in the kitchen like blanching and julianne and all those fancy words!

- Im addicted to ripped jeans lately, people keep teasing me that they could sew my pants for me...!

- Geoff and I have been together for almost 9 years.

- I love reading in the bathtub. It is the only place I can detach from the world and focus on a good book or magazine.

- I used to drive an SUV in high school and I loved it. I kinda wish gas prices weren't so high so I could have another one! I loved being taller then everyone else on the freeway.

And last but not least...
- I love being able to run giveaways for you guys and thank you for supporting my blog and to let you share in some amazing goodies that are out there!

So the winner of the XO Necklace from Olive & Piper is...
Kaci Walker!
Congrats, please email me soon to claim your prize!

Little Thoughts

- Its only Thursday, but this week has been one of the longest and most eye opening yet. Geoff was off on a business trip, and my schedule was so crazy that Lewis was staying at my parents house. I quickly realized (like an hour into the first night) that there is no enjoyment or satisfaction of coming home to a quiet, dark, and empty house. I love that little puppy face waiting for me at the door, and I love having someone around to talk about my day with. Though I am sure they both had fun, I like them here with me!

- I may be one of the only people out there that will admit it, but I am still hopelessly devoted on Monday nights to Gossip Girl. Can you believe there are only 2 episodes left? I hate things ending, nothing is going to be as crazy and good as GG was! I feel like there have been so many crazy twists and turns, who knows how its gonna end!

- Have you visited Brickyard Buffalo yet? These girls are geniuses, I tell you. It is like they went inside my brain and created a site full of things I love, and things I didnt even know I loved until I saw them! not to mention the website design is beautiful! I will be teaming up with these girls for some special treats for you guys too, so stay tuned!

- Why does everyone get sick around this time of year? I spent last night nursing some Refresh tea and popping cough drops and have been feeling like any moment I am just going to be down for the count in a bad way. There never really is a "good time" to get sick.

- This video. You are welcome. I will forever have a big crush on Jimmy Fallon!!

- For the first time in my life (not bragging here just completely dumbfounded) I fit in a size 27. At first I thought it was just a fluke, because I have heard the Current/Elliott jeans run pretty big so I didnt think anything of it, but I just had to size down in another new pair of pants. I think it has a lot to do with always being on my feet and running circles at work, and just diet.... because I know I haven't been inside of a gym at all this year!

- I am so loving the Holiday season this year! I love having our tree up (I might turn the lights on the tree more then I turn on the lamps lately!), picking out cute gifts for my friends & family, and all of the lights and events around town. I might even be in the spirit to through a little Christmas shindig!

- Thanks to all of you that entered the Shabby Apple Giveaway!!! The winner is Tracy Davis! Congrats, you and your blog are so cute! Please email me as soon as you get a chance!

Little Facts

Shirt- Gap
Jeans- LC Lauren Conrad
Scarf- H&M
Sunglasses- Kate Spade
Shoes- Payless
Watch- Fossil
Bracelet- H&M

I would classify this as an outfit that didnt get much thought, and probably shouldn't have been photographed for the blog. But, it did and I will share. I think this shirt is kinda ill-fitting. I might move it to be giveaway pile after seeing these photos! All I did this day was get a sub sandwich, pick out a ceiling fan and then work around the new house. Really exciting stuff huh? To spare you the boring details I am going to link up with Rebecca and share 3 Little Facts about myself today!

1. I pretty much know every word to every Ludacris song that was ever on the radio.

2. When I was younger I walked over to my neighbors house to see if she wanted to play and she asked me if I wanted to see stars. Thinking that sounded like something pretty cool I said yes. Well she went "WHOMP" and punched me in the face and I got knocked out. I think, I did actually see some stars.

3. Oranges. The smell, the texture, the thought of them make me start to gag a bit (no, a lot!). I hate everything about an orange, which is surprising since I live next to so many fields of orange trees. But this means no orange chicken, no OJ, and ever since I saw them mix OJ into the rice at Chipotle, I cant go there either! To make it sound more normal, I just say I am allergic.
