I am going to tell you right here and now, September is the hands down, best time to spend your days at the beach! Parking spots and empty sand as far as you can see. I always get down on myself for never going to the beach. I mean, why even live by the beach if you never go? All Summer I might have gone twice. But this month I am going to spend every free moment I have there. Gone is all the traffic and all the tourists. I mean, why bother when you spend a half hour driving there (like 2 miles) and another half hour looking for parking (which you can NEVER find).
The other day I went to get a manicure (my normal place is right on the Penninsula) and thought, why not go lay out for a bit? I mean... the water is rightthere. Nothing to do, no one to see... and it was the best hour of my entire week. Music, a magazine, some snacks and I was set. I am telling you, September is my summer.
I am already looking for Groupons to try out Standup Paddle Boarding or Kayaking (tried either?). I want to take Lewis for long walks on the sand when I get off of work. I want to have a Balboa Bar!!
I am going to make the most of these remaining 80 degree days!
I'd want to soak up as much sun as possible, too. Enjoy your beach time. :)

Love it! I use to love going to the beach right after the summer rushes - so relaxing!
ReplyDeleteI've been dying to try SUP-ing, I hear it's an amazing workout! I've been kayaking a lot and that is a lot of fun to go on excursions with your more adventurous friends!
