Backyard Progress

I feel like every time I come on the blog I need to apologize for my absence! Honestly, things are busy in my life and I just don't have the time to devote to it anymore. We have been working on wedding preparations, and just working a ton in general. I still love blogging so I am not ready to throw in the towel just yet!

On top of that, we started a huge project in building a deck on the back half of our house which ran waaay over time (and budget) and we have been dealing with that for what seems like forever! Its finally almost done, but look how nice it looks! We chose a grey "faux" wood (so it will last forever) and constructed a very modern railing system. Its nice that it comes right off of our dining room so we can just have this extra extension of our house. Lewis really loves being able to hang out outdoors now and we eat nearly all of our meals out there!

I will share more photos once we get the outdoor rugs and cafe lights up but for now I wanted to share the progress! And this past weekend I put on my gardening gloves and jumped in the yard to help clean it up! That willow tree used to touch the grass, I went to town on it!
